President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev receives Executive Director of the CICA Secretariat Kairat Sarybay
Executive Director Kairat Sarybay presented to the President information on the current activities of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and the results of Kazakhstan’s CICA Chairmanship in 2020-2022. Special emphasis was placed on preparations for the Sixth CICA Summit to be held in October 12-13 in the capital of Kazakhstan.
President Tokayev was informed about the drafting process of the outcome documents of the upcoming Summit.
Moreover, the President was briefed about the plans to transform CICA into a full-fledged international organization – strategic goal of the Kazakh Chairmanship.
On a final note, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of ensuring high-level organization of the Sixth CICA Summit, as well as effective implementation of CICA goals and objectives.
