On April 22, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Lord David Cameron.
The parties addressed the key issues of bilateral cooperation and within the framework of this meeting signed the Intergovernmental Agreement between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom on Air Services, which lays the legal foundation for establishment of direct flights between Dushanbe and London.
It is noteworthy that, this is the first visit of the UK’s Foreign Secretary to Tajikistan in the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
